What To Expect
Before Your Wedding
Starting with a consultation call to go over the details and expectations you envision, and drafting a contract to reserve my photography services for your wedding date. From the moment you book me, I am with you every step of the way, I love meeting my clients in person before the wedding whether at their engagement session or even meeting for a cup of coffee just to get to know each other and plan your wedding day timeline. I am going to get to know you as a couple to help me find the parts of your relationship that you want to highlight in your love story.
The Day Of
Coverage of your wedding begins with capturing those getting ready moments. From the time you begin getting ready, through your first look, the ceremony, and all the way through your reception, I'll be capturing every detail without being obtrusive.
After your Wedding
Reliving your wedding day while editing your photos is one of my favorite parts. I'll send you a sneak peek within 1 to 2 days, after that you can expect to receive your final gallery within 4 weeks, and then we design your final love story in a wedding album.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I need a second photographer?
Many couples planning a New York City wedding benefit from having a second photographer, especially if your guest count exceeds 150 or if you and your partner are getting ready in separate locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, or New Jersey.
A second wedding photographer allows for multiple perspectives throughout the day. While I focus on your portraits or key moments, the second photographer can capture guest reactions, candid interactions, detailed décor, and alternative angles of your ceremony and reception.
For larger weddings, multicultural celebrations, or timelines with overlapping events, having two photographers ensures more comprehensive coverage and a complete visual story.
During our consultation, I help you determine whether a second photographer is necessary based on your guest count, venue layout, and timeline.
Can I extend the session the day of?
Yes. I understand that wedding timelines in New York City can shift due to traffic, venue transitions, or spontaneous moments worth documenting.
I provide a 30 minute reminder before your scheduled coverage ends. At that time, you may choose to extend coverage if you would like additional moments photographed, such as extended reception dancing, outfit changes, or a grand exit.
Additional time is billed at my hourly rate and can be arranged seamlessly on the wedding day.
My goal is to ensure your celebration is fully documented without added stress.
What kind of gear do you use?
I photograph weddings using professional Canon camera bodies and a curated selection of high quality lenses suited for portraits, candid storytelling, and low light reception coverage.
Every wedding is photographed with dual camera bodies, and I always carry backup equipment to ensure reliability and peace of mind. I also use professional lighting and flash techniques to create timeless, true to life images in any lighting environment, whether your venue is a bright rooftop in Manhattan or a candlelit ballroom in Brooklyn.
Reliable professional gear, combined with experience, allows me to deliver consistent and elegant results throughout your wedding day.
Do you photograph destination weddings?
I am more than happy to travel to document your wedding! Travel and lodging fees will apply.
Do you offer videography?
While I specialize exclusively in wedding photography, I work alongside some of the most talented wedding videographers in New York City.
If you are looking for cinematic wedding films that complement timeless photography, I am happy to recommend trusted NYC videographers whose style aligns beautifully with mine.
This ensures your photo and video teams collaborate seamlessly while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic and professional experience.
How do you photograph weddings with unpredictable light?
New York City weddings are known for dynamic lighting, from bright Central Park sun to candlelit receptions and historic venues with minimal natural light.
I come fully prepared for every scenario.
As an experienced NYC wedding photographer, I use professional flash techniques and light shaping tools to ensure your images remain timeless, natural, and true to life no matter the lighting conditions. Whether your ceremony takes place outdoors at golden hour, inside a dark cathedral, or during a winter evening reception, I adjust seamlessly.
My goal is consistent, elegant imagery that reflects the atmosphere of your celebration while keeping skin tones natural and colors accurate.
You won’t need to worry about lighting. I handle it so you can stay present.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Rain on your wedding day in New York City can create some of the most romantic and cinematic images.
If the forecast changes, I adapt quickly with clear umbrellas, indoor portrait options, creative use of architectural spaces, and professional lighting. From Brooklyn brownstones to Manhattan rooftops, there is always a beautiful solution.
I help build a flexible timeline in advance so we are prepared for any weather scenario. Many couples are surprised to discover that rainy wedding photos often become their favorites, intimate, emotional, and unique.
Your experience stays calm and enjoyable regardless of the weather.
How many images will we receive?
Every wedding is unique, but most couples receive approximately 50 to 75 professionally edited images per hour of coverage.
For a full wedding day, that typically results in 600 to 900 timeless, high resolution photographs.
Each image is carefully selected and edited in my signature true to life style. I focus on quality over quantity, preserving meaningful moments, emotional candids, romantic portraits, family connections, and the details you thoughtfully chose.
Your final gallery tells the complete story of your wedding day.
How does payment and contract work?
Once you decide to move forward, I send a digital proposal that includes your customized collection, contract, and invoice.
To officially reserve your wedding date, a signed contract and non refundable retainer are required. The remaining balance can be split into flexible installment payments leading up to your wedding.
Everything is handled online for simplicity and clarity.
Dates are secured on a first come, first served basis.
Can we customize a wedding photography package?
Yes. Every wedding in New York City is unique, and your photography collection should reflect your specific needs.
While I offer thoughtfully designed wedding photography collections, many couples choose to customize their coverage based on guest count, venue locations, multi day celebrations, cultural traditions, or additional events such as welcome dinners and engagement sessions.
As an NYC wedding photographer, I frequently tailor collections for intimate weddings, and larger formal wedding celebrations. Custom options can include additional coverage hours, a second photographer, rehearsal dinner coverage, heirloom albums, and fine art prints.
During your consultation, we will review your timeline, vision, and priorities to design a collection that documents your wedding day fully and intentionally.
My goal is to create a seamless experience that fits your celebration without unnecessary extras.
Do you photograph multicultural weddings?
Yes. I proudly photograph multicultural weddings throughout New York City and beyond.
NYC is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and I have experience documenting a variety of cultural traditions, ceremonies, and celebrations with respect and attention to detail. From Indian wedding events and Catholic ceremonies to Jewish traditions, fusion wedding celebrations, I understand the importance of honoring meaningful rituals and family moments.
Multicultural weddings often include multiple ceremonies, outfit changes, and extended celebrations. I approach these events with preparation, flexibility, and cultural awareness to ensure every significant tradition is beautifully documented.
My timeless, true to life editing style preserves the rich colors, attire, décor, and atmosphere of your celebration while keeping the focus on genuine emotion and connection.
If your wedding includes specific traditions or customs, we will discuss them in advance so nothing important is missed.
