He told her partner that one of his family members was visiting New York and wanted to take some pictures around the Iconic area of Central Park, which was actually true (the family visitor) but the meeting with this person was planned somewhere else, not Central Park.
THE Plan
Besides "seeing this family member" this was the first time this couple got to see Central Park as they live a little bit far away, so they dressed for "nice photos at the park." However, little did she know that her sister and her boyfriend orchestrated a romantic proposal right under Bethesda Terrace with a lovely setup consisting of rose petals in the shape of a heart, candles, their initials, and some photos of the two of them.
